If you're looking for a reliable truck that can handle tough tasks and provide plenty of power and a comfortable ride, consider the 2021 Toyota Tacoma or the 2021 Toyota Tundra. Both trucks are great for routine trips, long rides, and off-road adventures. The Tacoma is available in six trim levels: SR, SR5, TRD Sport, TRD Off-Road, Limited, and TRD Pro. With the Tundra, you can choose SR, SR5, Limited, Platinum, TRD Pro, or 1794 Edition trims. Here's some more information to help you decide which of these popular trucks has the features you need.
Exterior
Both trucks have appealing, muscular profiles. The 2021 Tacoma looks sporty and rugged, and the larger Tundra has a more luxurious, refined feel. The Tacoma has a big upper grille with the Toyota symbol in the center, a narrow lower grille with a large skid plate underneath it, 9.4 inches of ground clearance, and a sculpted hood and sides.
It also comes with 16-inch wheels, a spoiler on the tailgate, a sliding rear window, heated power side mirrors, convenient storage compartments along the sides of the truck bed, and a lockable and removable tailgate. There's even a storage space with insulation that can act as a cooler. Tacoma lettering on the tailgate adds to the rugged look.
You can get a 5- or 6-foot bed, and two cab sizes are available. Additional options include fog lights, a power moonroof with a sunshade, a 120-volt power outlet in the truck bed, a lockable cover for the bed, 17- or 18-inch wheels, and a power-sliding rear window. The TRD Pro has Toyota lettering on the grille, a hood scoop, and unique black alloy wheels. Nightshade Special Edition package is available with the Limited, and it includes black wheels, a striking black mesh grille, black side mirrors, black door handles, and a black exhaust tip for a cool look.
Many of the 2021 Tundra's options are the same as the Tacoma, but some additional features are also available. You can select a 5.5-, 6.5-, or 8.1-foot bed. Like the Tacoma, there are two cab sizes. The Tundra has an upper grille that's even bigger than the Tacoma's, and there's a large air intake for the engine right above it. This truck has 10.4 inches of ground clearance. Choose the Platinum or the 1794 Edition trim levels for chrome, heated, power-folding, auto-dimming side mirrors with turn signals, blind-spot warning indicators, puddle lights, and memory settings.
