Hello! My name is Ray Tucker, the service director for Kings Toyota. Today, we are going to talk about a few service tips.
So when your check engine light comes on, it can mean actually two different things. A check engine light can come on for the most minor of issues to the most major engine issue.
If the check engine light comes on and it's solid, that's less immediate than when it comes on and it's flashing. If it's solid, then it means there is an issue, but it is not an immediate danger that's going to leave you on the side of the road. So you can make that appointment at your leisure.
If it is flashing, that means it is an immediate issue and you should pull over immediately. Call your local Toyota dealership, and have them come get the car.
