Victor Sheppard drives a lot. We mean a lot.

While the average American driver puts about 12,000 miles on their odometer every year, Louisiana-native Sheppard drives 125,000 miles per year, on average. Most people take ten years to reach the mileage Sheppard hits in one. In only nine years, Sheppard's truck exceeded 1 million miles.

The only truck tough enough to handle mileage like that, with its original transmission, engine, and paint job?

The Toyota Tundra, of course.

This wasn't just any Tundra, either. Sheppard's million-mile 2007 Tundra was one of the first models to be assembled at the new Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Texas, Inc. plant in San Antonio. Not only was the truck built in the U.S., it was designed and engineered here, too, at the Calty Design Research, Inc. studio and Toyota Technical Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Who knew American-made could be so reliable?
